The super-powered Samsung Galaxy S Android phone, and its various US iterations, has sold more than 10 million units worldwide so far, cementing its position as one of the top Android smartphones of 2010.
European sales account for a 2.5 million chunk out of this figure, but it’s in the US that the Galaxy S sold the most, netting more than four million sales stateside. The phone has only been on sale for just over half a year, earning Samsung a great big “well done” sticker.
The Samsung Galaxy S remains one of the top Android phones on the market, but will it be able to hang out with the top dogs for much longer? Dual-core Android phones are set to be released soon, so Samsung will have to let the trusty Samsung Galaxy S slip into the past before too long if it wants to stay at the cutting edge of Android.
