Manchester’s regional daily newspaper the Manchester Evening News is now accepting entries from local businesses looking to gain acclaim as the ‘MEN Business of the Year 2010’.
The prestigious regional event, which is sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Co-operative Bank, Hollands Pies, Pinsent Masons and Reich Insurance and Healthcare, is to be held at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate hotel in November.
If you think that your business has what is required to take the crown then you can put your company forward for the following categories:
Turnover over £50m Turnover between £25m – £50m Turnover between £10m – £25m Turnover under £10m Young Business of the Year (3 years and under)
Last year’s winner in the £10m to £25m category, Scott Fletcher, chairman and founder of ANS Group, explained how the award has impacted his business:
“From a regional point of view it is the pinnacle.
“There is a lot of passion in Manchester and that really came through at the awards.
“It is great for our staff who live and work in the local community and get to read about their success in the Manchester Evening News. And for me to be in the paper that I delivered as a lad was fantastic.
“The fact that there are so many different categories makes the awards very accessible for all businesses.
“It is a rigorous process, but if you are well-prepared you are in with a chance.”
