Do you need to recreate a table or grid on your form? You can use the Sub-form field on the form designer.
With the sub forms tool you can embed a form within a form to capture data like you would on a table. This keeps your form looking neat, without lots of repeating fields and allows the user to input an unlimited number of details.
Follow these 3 steps to use the Sub-form tool:
1. Create a new form which will become your sub form. In this example, Parts Used, Qty Used, Serial Number and Comments are all fields in the form.
2. Next, create the master form and drag-and-drop the Sub-form field into the position you require. In the example, the master form has the Worksheet title, the company logo, Job Reference, Customer name and the Signature field. The table is positioned before the signature, so this is where we insert the sub-form field.
3. On the FORM-FIELD PROPERTIES menu, use the ‘SubForm’ drop down menu to select the form created in step 1, to be used as your sub-form.
When deployed onto a mobile device, the user will see a ‘Click here to add’ button which allows them to add multiple rows of data as required.
