The Korean manufacturer is to release a new device catering to young professional workers, yet another handset to add to its interesting Omnia range of smartphones.
This innovative Windows Mobile 6.5 phone is set to contain a whole host of advanced features for its users including a QWERTY keyboard, 3.2MP VT camera and the opportunity to make QVGA videos.
JK Shin, President and head of the Mobile Communications Business at Samsung Electronics explained:
“We are continuing to build on the success of the Omnia smartphone with an updated product lineup that caters to the unique needs of young professionals and executives.
“The Omnia Pro 4 and Omnia Pro 5 deliver a smart, stylish mobile companion that combine productivity and multimedia functionality.”
The device is geared towards business professionals with its Cisco WebEx audio and web conferencing facilities, meaning the user will find it easy to share presentations and conduct online meetings. It also features push email, Bluetooth v2.1 with EDR and wireless capabilities.
The memory of the smartphone can be upgraded via the use of a microSD card from 200MB to 32GB.
The Omnia Pro 4 handset, which could make a challenge to RIM’s BlackBerry, should be available in the UK from next month.
