The mobile network operator T-Mobile has announced that the new HTC Wildfire smartphone will be available to buy from its UK stores next month.
T-Mobile has now confirmed that the Android phone is to be sold in shops from the 14th of June and tariffs will start from £20 per month on a 2-year deal.
T-Mobile already has a growing range of Android handsets although this is the first smartphone to include the new software to allow users to share applications with others. The App Sharing feature is not the only addition to this mobile as it can also be highly regarded as a social networking friendly device, with Twitter, Facebook and Flickr apps already pre-loaded.
T-Mobile UK’s head of handset and device marketing, Nicola Shenton said:
“The HTC Wildfire is a great addition to our Android portfolio, offering customers an affordable way to get their hands on an Android-based smartphone.”
Three and Virgin Media will also be offering the Android 2.1 operated Wildfire smartphone, but their release date is as of yet unknown.
In other T-Mobile news, there are now two new colours of BlackBerry phones available to buy; the BlackBerry 9700 can be ordered in white, while the BlackBerry 8520 is now in Fuchsia Red.
